Machine Description

The Cormak MBS 270FH Bandsaw is a professional, powerful and efficient band saw for metal with an arm swivelling from 0° to 60°. The model is equipped with a tension gauge and carbide guides.

Machine Characteristics

The cutting material can be fed manually or with any mechanical device, while the Arm feed is automatic. The cutting speed (band speed) is adjustable on the control panel. The rigid construction arm is made of profiled cast iron. The control panel is located next to the arm for convenience. The drive from the electric motor to the wheel driving the cutting band is transferred by a motor with a worm gear. The cutting blade is stretched on two cast iron wheels by means of a manual tensioner and guided in adjustable rolling and sliding carbide guides. The entire blade transmission is protected by a hinged lid attached to the housing. The base is built as a rigid welded steel body. Inside there is a separate coolant tank with an electropump. The shape of the upper part of the base is a tray for draining the coolant and trapping swarf. The speed of dropping the arm (feed speed) is regulated by means of an actuator. The band speed is adjusted on the control panel of the machine. You can choose between two cutting speeds 37 and 75 m / min. In the lower position of the arm (after cutting the material) the blade drive is switched off automatically.
